Olimot Corner





                 Olimot Corner is the column in the Iton where
                 movement members who have recently made Aliyah
                 share their experiences. Our latest column comes from
                 Benji Sharp, who grew up in HDOZ in Melbourne and
                 who now lives as a member of Kvutzat Tzur in Azur,
                 near Tel Aviv.


                 7 Cheshvan (October 12-13) marks the contemporary date of
                 Yom Ha’Aliyah. Officially declared a national holiday in 2016,
                 this date was chosen as it falls within the week of the
                 reading of parshat Lech Lecha, which begins with Avram
                 being told by Hashem:
