The main disadvantage of the Movement is the lack of
madrichim. Although last year 60 chaverim, who had
participated in different Seminars in France and Israel
came back, many of them do not work in the Movement,
and most of the work and responsibility rests on the
shoulders of a very few. Those are tired and unable to
carry on their tasks.
We would very much like to send chaverim to attend your
Habonim Insititute in January, but the chaverim who
understand English are at school, and would not be able
to be released. Nevertheless, we are making great efforts
to send a group.
There are great potentialities amongst Moroccan Jewish
youth, and given more madrichim and two or three good
shlichim with experience in youth work, there would be
no limits to our success. We are very short of cultural
material, and are waiting for the promised parcel
containing your publications. At the moment we have
only two Schavoth – 15 – 17, and over.
