February 15-18: HDOZ/NZ Bog Tour – Seven bogrim
from Australia and New Zealand took part in a four-day
Habonim Dror seminar in Israel. Throughout the seminar,
the bogrim discussed dilemmas in their own lives through
the lense of the dilemmas and questions faced by Yosef
Trumpeldor. The bogrim also spent a day in messima with
African refugees, with our sister movement Noar HaOved
V’Halomed.
February 20-24: Kenes Mazkirim – Mazkirut members
from almost every Habonim Dror country: Belgium,
Holland, Turkey, South Africa, Brazil, U.S./Canada, U.K.,
Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Uruguay, came
together for a
five-day seminar in
Israel, focusing on Jewish community and movement
leadership. Participants bridged all language and cultural
barriers to form new relationships and partnerships at
the Kenes Mazkirim
seminar, and left
feeling a renewed
sense of purpose in
their tafkidim. See

Chinuch, at Kenes Mazkirim
February 25 – March 1: Chazon HDOZ seminar – The new
Australian mazkirut took part in a five-day seminar to build
their tzevet and their vision for the coming year. This was
the historical first (of many years to come) that HD
Australia has participated in Chazon Seminar.
April 3-4: Joint UK (Ken Leeds) and France Madatz
Hadracha seminar – Around 25 madatzim (aged 16-17) from
Danni, Gabe, and Sarah – the new 2009 HDOZ
the UK and France will come together in London for a mazkirut – on tiyul during Chazon Seminar
