Name: Hannah Rollo

          Place of Birth: New Zealand

          Date of Aliyah: 27/08/08

Describe Location: Ramat Gan. 45 minute walk from
Kvutsat Keshet and a 1 hour walk to Kvutsat Aseef.
A quiet street with lots of trees and bats

If swimming is such good exercise how come whales are so fat? Because they

swim with their mouths open and all the food just goes in whilst they are
          exercising!

Funniest Movement Moment: On machaneh back in New Zealand, 3 other girls and
I were in the river washing ourselves before Shabbat. We had the river all to
ourselves (known as “in the wilderness”). All our Shabbat clothes were on the river
bank and all of a sudden it started to rain and we didn’t know what to do. One of

the girls, actually my cousin Carmel, jumped out of the river butt-naked and does a
big starfish over our clothes [apparently a star fish is to make oneself big – in
order to shield the clothes from getting wet?]. Twenty seconds later it starts
hailing like you will never see. Because it is freezing cold the hail is burning our

bodies. We are in the river up to our noses in freezing water and it is killing us,
but Carmel is exposed… All of a sudden we saw Carmel twitching with pain and she
starts screaming. She eventually gives up and runs back into the water.

Current Ringtone: Going Insane by Infected Mushroom

What music are you listening to right now? I’ve been listening non-stop to

religious Jewish harmonies – acapella, beatboxing etc

Food you would rather not eat? Anchovies

Vision for the new Kibbutz Movement… To continue growing and for us to find a
way to financially support what we are aiming to do.

Tafkid in the movement: Shnat Madricha Aus/NZ 09, (Member of tzevet ADD –

          everyone gets distracted so easily!)
