Life Outside Habonim. Our home was always an open house for all
religions and colours. However, my father
I had many non-Jewish friends throughout all
the years, with some of them, I still have once insisted that I could marry one of any
contact. I spent much of my time as a colour, as long as he was Jewish. He said this
teenager, playing tennis in the local park, on the day that he brought home from Shul,
mainly with non-Jewish friends. two Ethiopian Jewish students, from
Cambridge University--I think he was
hinting!
So, to conclude, Habonim was a second
home, and had a great influence on my life.

I studied in Cardiff for 4 years and was very
active in student life, besides Habonim. I also
joined "Kadima" a Jewish Student study
group. Here there were many official
"debates", which I loved. I always spoke up
for Israel on such subjects as “Our loyalties
are to Britain or to Israel?” That is a debate I
do remember, as we won!! There were lots of
social occasions in and out of the Jewish
community, and I loved dancing, and still do!
