schoolers who have to write a report about Rabin but, in the
process, deal with the clashing of their identities and
personalities. Hannah Faber, an ola from HDNA and a
member of the musical’s cast, shares that the story of
Rabin is just a jumping-off point for the characters to ask
big questions about how to live democratically in a society
of diverse peoples and disparate opinions.
A sort of mix between “The Breakfast Club” and “Hamilton,”
the musical is designed to be toured around the country as
an educational tool. Its cast rehearsed the show throughout
COVID disruptions and gave their premier performances in
June. This year they performed Cheshbon Pashut for
crowds of students, adults, and soldiers in different parts of
the country. It’s a new way to educate and a creative outlet
for the people involved.
