Olim on Shlichut

Nathan Brown, a boger of HDOZ, made Aliyah
from Sydney in 2012. Today, he’s writing to us
from Vancouver, Canada, where he is spending
two years as part of the shlichut delegation to
HDNA.

The 2019-2021 HDNA Mishlachat is composed of four
Habonim Dror bogrimot - Carmi Tint, Leah Silverberg
and Sarah Fisher (HDNA) and myself (HDOZ), along
with Shmulik Levy (who grew up in HaNoar HaOved
veHaLomed). Leah is the shlicha for HDNA’s Mazkirut
Artzit, and Shmulik the Shaliach to Camp Galil. Carmi is
a Shlicha for Ken New York. Sarah and I are in
Vancouver - Sarah is the Shlicha to Camp Miriam, and I
have the honour of being the גוז - ןב - the ‘partner’. We all

made the decision to go on shlichut in March of 2019,
arrived to North America in August 2019 and we are
due to be replaced in September 2021.

One unusual characteristic of this mishlachat is the
number of Habonim Dror graduates in it- four out of
the five shlichim were raised in Habonim Dror. We all
went on Workshop in the mid-
2000’s, and have been
madrichim and Roshim in the
youth movement. Our time as
madrichimot spanned the globe,
