We are carrying torches

We tread along paths
Beneath our feet. םילפא תולילב םידיפל םיאשונ ונא
Whoever has heart, , ונילגר תחתמ םיליבשה םיחרוז
Whoever is thirsty for the light - רואל אמצה ול בל רשא ימו
Let them come! רואל וניליא אוביו ויניע תא אשי
A miracle never happened to us. ! אוביו
No vessel of oil did we find.
Rather, we descended to the valley ונאצמ אל ןמש ךפ ונל הרק אל סנ
And we climbed the mountain. ונילע הרהה ונכלה קמעל
We discovered well-springs וניליג םיזונגה תורואה תוניעמ
of hidden light. ונאצמ אל ןמש ךפ ונל הרק אל סנ
A miracle never happened to us. . רוא יהיו , םד דע ונבצח עלסב
No vessel of oil did we find.
We quarried in the stone until we bled.
“Let there be light.”
