Favourite Socialist / Zionist. Why? Syrkin because of his
Jewish heritage. And I hear he wore a cool monocle
Funniest Movement Moment: Every summer, at most of the HDNA machanot, a night program
is run simulating Aliyah Bet. This summer at Machaneh Galil there was a ten year old chanich
who was convinced that it was supposed to happen on one night in particular. He made bets with
other chanichim and the whole shichva actually wore their clothes to bed in preparation. It
actually wasn’t planned to be run that night but the twenty-strong tzevet woke him up in the
middle of the night anyway, and ran it just for him! At the end he was so into it and he thought
it was real. He was shouting “I did it! I did it! I made it to Palestina!” We ran it a few weeks
later for the rest of the machaneh as originally planned.
Current Ringtone: I haven’t got a cool Habo Dror phone yet – it’s on the way - I have the
ringtone that comes with the sochnut phone – I think it is entitled ‘heavenly’. Is it heavenly? It
actually doesn’t live up to its name at all

What are you reading right now Franny and Zooey by JD Salinger
What music are you listening to right now? I’ve been driving a lot recently so I’ve been
listening to Galgalatz – especially ‘Sof Shavua Ragua’
Vision for the new Kibbutz Movement… I’d like to see a return to focusing on building more
meaningful relationships and the concept of the kvutsah – not as serious as the Upper Bitania
group but somewhere round there.
