To celebrate its 90th anniversary, Habonim Dror
               South Africa have been holding weekly virtual
               gatherings of former and current Habonim
               chaverim (members) from around the world.
               Presenters have been chosen from the plethora of
               former Habonim members that are leaders in their
               field, and have been sharing photos, reminisces,
               even jokes and skits that they might have
               performed aside a campfire many years ago. Titled
               Habonim Engaging in Dialogue (HED), we publish
               the notes of a recent talk by Benzi Segal, where he
               talks about his time in the movement in the
               historic world-shifting period of the 1960’s.

               This photo (see above) was taken in May 2015
               when over 200 graduates of South African
               Habonim gathered together on Kibbutz Tzora to
               celebrate the 50th anniversary of their Aliyah to
               Israel. The common and unifying factor of all of
               these people was their membership of Habonim in
               South Africa during a most turbulent time – the
