I that lovely area of Sussex? I had a great time
t all began when I attended a Dutch
during that year and I decided to join the
Habonim winter activity in 1957. A
            representative from British Habonim from
the Eder Farm (Shosh Webber-Solomon) came to hachshara group in 1959 although deep down I
was really interested in becoming a nurse. I
the activity and distributed a pamphlet to all and became a founder member of Garin Vav and
sundry. The pamphlet presented a year-long settled at Bet HaEmek with the first group in
course called Hachsharat Noar to take place at 1961 after an Ulpan hachshara at Ramat
the Eder Farm. I took the pamphlet back home Yochanan.
and showed it to my parents who were interested
in its contents. I married Baruch Kadmon and we eventually
joined Kibbutz Matzuva in the Western Galilee.
I finished school aged 17½ and had already We now have a son and two daughters and five
decided I wanted to study nursing. However, grandchildren with the eldest granddaughter now

persons who were 18 years old and above. This
left me in a quandary what am I going to do for However, I always had the urge to help and assist
six months until my 18th birthday? I others and this desire has never left me. So it's
remembered that handout from Shosh and, being no surprise that I've been serving my community
a Habonimnik, I went for this option that at Matzuva for the last 20 years as a qualified

Consequently, I joined the Noar course for a All this is down to our dear friend Shosh

particular quandary way back in 1958 –
After this came decision time – should I return to
Holland and become a nurse or should I stay in It was just a simple handout!!!
