Then, of course, there are always visitors. Nine tsofim
from Glasgow came down for a week; twenty-two bonim
from London came down one afternoon, and twenty
chaverim came for the Pegishat HaGarin. Almost every
Friday night, when we sit down for the Friday night meal
and Kabalat Shabat, there are over thirty of us
celebrating the shabat together.
A group of Shacham also visited us for a week, prior to
their departure for Israel. We were very impressed with
this group (six boys), and they too seem to have formed
a good opinion of us (one of them told us that before he
came here, he did not understand how anyone would
want to live here for a year to eighteen months before
Aliyah – but now he could understand it.)
With the Shacham group came a large selection of Rock
‘N Roll records, so whenever we went into the klali, and
sat before our log fire all we could hear was “See you
later Alligator – In a while Crocodile!”
“Lulan”. [‘Chicken- farmer’ - ED}
