Ivrit Shimushit (May, 2022)

Welcome to our column Ivrit Shimushit, where Sam Edelman (boger of HDNA, living in Carmiel and on the tzevet of Dror Educational Orchards at Ravid) brings you real Israeli slang straight off the streets.

Word: לא פשוט (lo pashut)

Literal translation: Not simple

How it’s used: To describe a situation that’s difficult or frustrating

Example:

Zuko: “That’s lo pashut buddy”

סוקה: החברה הראשונה שלי הפכה לירח״

זוקו: ״זה לא פשוט אחי״
